How to Check Email Headers on Webmail

Email headers are a set of data that hold crucial details about the message and its path to its intended recipient. Phishing attempts can be avoided by verifying such details before clicking on anything in the message body. In certain situations, it might also be helpful for diagnosing email delivery problems.

The message’s source will be shown, and the entire contents will open in plain text. The email header, which contains the sender’s address and plenty of other information, comes before “Content-Type.” It will have a look like this:

To view the headers of an email message, simply sign in to your Webmail account, navigate to the message, select More, and then select Show source:

The headers will appear first when the entire message opens in a new browser window.
